As a female-led business, it was fitting for us to become Gold Sponsors of Maitland Business Chamber’s recent Making HerStory Networking Breakfast. As a fundraiser for the Cancer Council World’s Biggest Morning Tea, it was an amazing opportunity to support both women in business and to raise much-needed funds for the Cancer Council and for Brodie and Karen to share their own stories and that of Balanced Beans.

Special guest speakers included Samantha Nicholls of Gymnastics 21, Melissa Histon from Got Your Back Sista and Camilla Nalder from Recruit Personnel. They presented to a room of established and emerging female leaders alongside the likes of Maitland Show’s Young Woman of the Year, Jaslyn Walters, and NSW MP Dave Layzell. It was a privilege to learn from others in this space and contribute to the learnings of the next generation of women in business, who are an essential part of the future of a community that is well regarded for women’s entrepreneurship and innovation.
