These include Supported Independent Living (SIL), community access, personal care and home assistance to NDIS participants in the Newcastle, Maitland and Hunter Valley area.

Established in 2020, the business quickly experienced rapid growth – which, while greatly welcomed, wasn’t easy to manage! 

With an expanding participant client base and growing team of NDIS support staff, HEDSS founders Amie Burns and Gavin Dimery realised they needed to outsource some of their business operations to experts.

HEDSS vision is “To increase the availability of quality, person-centred NDIS support services and supported independent living in the Maitland and Newcastle area”. 

Fast-forward to 2024 and the organisation has already turned that vision into a firm reality by establishing three SIL houses, a respite property, a community day centre and day programs.
