Balanced Beans supports International Womens Day 2024

Women in Business Breakfast

Balanced Beans proudly sponsored the 2024 Women in Business Breakfast hosted by the Maitland Business Chamber at the Maitland Town Hall.

The event, held on International Women’s Day – March 8th, and during NSW Women’s Week, brought together over 100 business professionals from Maitland and the wider Hunter Valley community.

The breakfast served as a platform to acknowledge and celebrate the invaluable contributions and accomplishments of women in the region’s professional landscape.

As a female-led enterprise, we were thrilled to be part of such an empowering gathering.

At Balanced Beans, we are staunch advocates for amplifying women’s voices and recognising their diverse perspectives. We firmly believe that when coupled with action, women’s voices wield substantial and tangible influence. Hence, our continued partnership with the Maitland Business Chamber as Gold Sponsor for the third consecutive year. This year, Karen and Brodie introduced themselves to attendees on the big screen – watch it here!

Our team found the morning rewarding and motivating. It was fabulous to network with fellow professionals from businesses and organisations across a range of industries in Maitland, Newcastle and the wider Hunter Valley region. Speaking of influence, a highlight was learning from inspirational keynote speaker Rachel Bourke about how to be the most influential versions of ourselves. Rachel’s workshop shared practical ways to build influence through being inspiring, intentional and ready!

We extend our gratitude to the Maitland Business Chamber for fostering a forum that acknowledges the voices of working women in the Hunter Valley. Read more about the event here

IWD Dinner

Later that day, Karen and Brodie attended the Maitland Against Domestic Abuse International Women’s Day Dinner to celebrate the strength and resilience of women.

It was the first fundraising initiative of the MADA Committee (for which Brodie is the volunteer Treasurer), and a resounding success with over $10,000 raised!! These funds will assist MADA to continue to raise awareness of the impacts of Domestic Abuse in our local community.

It was wonderful to mingle with supporters and volunteers of the this important local initiative, enjoy delicious canapes and bubbles from Duke’s Restaurant & Bar and also officially launch the MADA website.
